The General Services Administration (GSA) started Phase II of its Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Consolidation by discharging Mass Mods or GSA contract modification to industry in a fourteen day time span (1/31/2020 – 2/14/2020). As temporary workers scramble to finish pending changes and acknowledge the mod before the July 31, 2020 cutoff time, GSA is working diligently taking care of some potential issues.

Since Mass Mods erase all heritage Special Item Numbers (SINs) and includes new, united SINs consequently, GSA needs to refresh the MAS Modification Guide to mirror the new SINs and Terms and Conditions (T&C). On January 3, 2020, GSA discharged a Request for Information (RFI) for their Draft GSA contract modification Guide. Subsequent to social affair input from industry accomplices, GSA started making a guide that would best get ready industry for business in the wake of tolerating the MAS mods. On February 27, 2020 and March 4, 2020, GSA’s MAS Program Management Office (PMO) offered free online courses on MAS Modification Guidance Training to clarify the motivation behind the guide and explain any inquiries temporary workers may have.
The GSA contract modification or MAS Modification Guide will share data and tips for planning/presenting the accompanying:
• Administrative Modifications: Unilateral changes put together by temporary workers to stay up with the latest, for example, address, email address, Point-of-Contact (POC), Authorized Negotiator, Contract Administrator, or Industrial Funding Fee (IFF) POC.
• Addition GSA contract modification: Adds items, administrations, or SINs to an organization’s Schedule contributions.
